Most of the time, athletes receive all the credit for the unforgettable moments in sports' history, but in reality there are many contributing factors for those moments to occur. It’s not just about the athlete, but also the people who support them throughout their journey, the trainers who plan their training to get them in the best physical and mental shape, and the individuals who design the perfect equipment to help the athlete reach their highest potential. It’s not one person or one thing, but rather the ideal combination and collaboration of all parties that makes something special happen.
In my small way, I want to honor the incredible people who believed in me for a decade, and the phenomenal people who understood what Eugene, Hayward Field, and Valley River Inn truly meant to me.
